GO WEST 2020 City and Date Announced

Edmonton, Alberta – July 10, 2019 – The event that is all the buzz amongst event professionals across Canada will remain in Edmonton for 2020. Following the huge success of GO WEST 2019, Timewise Event Management has announced they have come to an agreement with Edmonton Tourism and Edmonton Convention Centre to host its 3rd year in the city. They are happy to announce GO WEST 2020 will be held in Edmonton, Alberta on January 19-21, 2020.

“We are elated at how well this initiative has been received in our meeting and events community,” says Arlene Schilke, Executive Producer of GO WEST and co-founder of Timewise. “Not only have Edmonton and our partners step up in a big way, we have received an incredible amount of support from our international events community. In 2020 we will see participants converging on Edmonton from across Canada, the USA and even Europe.”

Edmonton is a thriving city with exciting things happening. The newly developed Ice District is home to Rogers Place and is Canada’s largest sports and entertainment district. Ice District also includes Stantec Tower, which is Canada’s tallest building outside of Toronto, and one of only three J.W. Marriott hotels in Canada. The city boasts two world-class convention centres, including the Edmonton Convention Centre which is located in Edmonton’s downtown core, has over 2,000 hotel rooms within walking distance, and provides stunning views of the North Saskatchewan River Valley, North America’s largest urban parkland.

GO WEST 2020 will be hosted at the Edmonton Convention Centre, Edmonton’s downtown meeting and event facility and one of North America’s top performing convention centres. An attendance of 800 event professionals from across Canada and beyond is expected for two days of educational sessions, experiential workshops, social events and a 100 booth exhibition.
